Anthony Newett, Newett Music Studios
Anthony Newett is THE most talented musician I have ever met. Not only is he fluent on 9 instruments (and counting), he plays them all masterfully, he has perfect pitch, and he has more natural arrangement skills than any formally trained professional I have ever known. On top of that, he is a truly humble and loveable person, and just great to work with.

Anthony is an only child - his father "Jimbo" (who passed away just recently, rest his dear soul) was an accomplished and innovative guitarist in the Philadelphia area who dedicated the majority of his life to teaching music privately, in addition to performing. Jim would often bring different instruments home from the music stores he worked at just for Anthony to "try them out." Anthony was playing gigs with his dad before he reached double-digit age. He began experimenting with recording techniques when he was a pre-teen and he has done nothing else but music his entire life.

Anthony has operated his own production company successfully for more than twenty years. He clients come to him from all over the country, and he has worked with some highly noteable published songwriters. He is currently a staff music composer for CNN, working directly for famed radio talk show host Glenn Beck (who also has a nightly hour-long television show on CNN Headline News). Anthony's work is utilized almost daily on both of Mr. Beck's shows.

I met Anthony about 5 years ago when he joined a 9-piece band I was working with in the Philly-New York metro area. The band began working on a new demo which we hired Anthony to record. He was a strong musician in the band, but I was soon to learn that the breadth of his abilities exceeded anything I could have imagined. I began working with Anthony on my own projects, and soon he began routinely hiring me to come in to assist with some of his client's projects.

Anthony Newett is a marvel. If you are a musician reading this and ever have need of production work, a track, a solo on practically any instrument, Anthony Newett is definitely a go-to guy. In our digital age of wav files, ftp sites, fios, etc., you can accomplish anthing you need with Anthony regardless of where you are in the world. Anthony and I continue to work together - the only loss I feel coming to San Antonio are the routine sessions we had for several years which have blossomed into a lifetime friendship. Check out his web site for a sampling of some great talent, both his and the artists he work with.

Jeff's "Dance Through Life" CD
“Dance Through Life” is mostly a-cappella and percussion-tinged works in which I’m singing all the parts, playing percussion, indigenous flutes, etc. My goal was to create a well-produced, organic effort, one that would reflect my admiration and respect for the world’s varied people, cultures and music...

The project was an exercise in detachment and patience. It took me nearly 15 years to complete from start to finish, recording in a half-dozen different studios with numerous engineers and assistants. There are several tracks posted in their entirety on this web site, and you can hear samples, read more about it, and purchase the disc at this link to CDBaby.com.

Laura Kaczor, anointed singer/ songwriter
I met beautiful Laura Kaczor nearly 10 years ago after hearing her sing a solo during a church service. She was still in high school. She had a gorgeous voice and a genuinely spirit-filled, elegant presence. It took very little time for me to realize that Laura had the natural gift to pursue music at any level she desired.

Now some years later, after releasing her fisrt full-length album of all original material while simultaneously completing a degree in Economics at an Ivy League school, Laura moved to Nashville to begin pursuing her musical dreams in earnest. A meeting with legendary Johnny Cash & June Carter's son, John Carter Cash, resulted in a 6-song EP recorded on the family's estate and featured contributions from some of Nashville's finest muscians. Since the completion of that project, Laura has been actively performing in the Nashville area and returns frequently to perform in her home state of Pennsylvania. She is currently dialoging with movers and shakers in the music industry and is cautiously deciding what steps to take next.

Laura is the genuine article. Her song writing talent is already phenomenal at her young age and is brimming with promise for years of great music. As a performer she is a true delight. She is an inspiring artist. (I hope that many young women have the fortune of encountering Laura as she is the type of role model desperately needed in our society.) Visit Laura's site and be introduced to a beautiful soul.

Johnny Holliday, musician extraordinaire
I met Johnny Holliday on my first trip to San Antonio. He was playing an afternoon concert on an outdoor stage in the Mexican marketplace. My wife and I were sitting with friends on a restaurant patio enjoying the various musical artists who were performing half-hour sets. Johnny picked up a trumpet on his first song and just ripped a glissando that went above a high C and just kept on wailin' from there. My friends and I all looked at each other in astonishment - we knew we were in for a treat. Then for his next song, he put down his trumpet and picked up an alto sax, playing a richly melodic and inventive solo, sandwiched between a sultry vocal performance. (Musicians know that a combination brass & woodwind player is VERY rare, and Johnny makes this transition with ease.) We were all knocked out by Johnny Holliday.

Johnny and I met after he wrapped up his set and traded CDs & phone numbers. We've become friends and have remained in contact since that meeting... Johnny is active in the U.S. military and has served in Iraq. Just weeks before I came to San Antonio to live, Johnny and has family were transferred to Miami, Florida where he is in special training. I'm sad that we didn't get to play music together in San Antonio, but I'm sure grateful we got to meet! Visit his site to read his touching story and to purchase his wonderful CD, "Shine In Me."
