Vocalist Jeff Harvey’s unique voice resonates with many influences. His expressive, powerful baritone is right at home with the blues, gospel, soul, rock, jazz, even traditional Spanish music.
In addition to live performances, Jeff works frequently as a voice-over artist, session musician, a professional Disc Jockey, and teaches music privately. He is currently recording a bilingual album (Spanish/ English) with Grammy® nominated producer Anthony Newett.
Involved with a variety of solid projects over the years as a performer and producer, Jeff has served as lead vocalist & frontman, percussionist, saxophonist & harmonica player for numerous ensembles and professional groups. From nightclubs to museums, churches, wedding ceremonies and corporate events, Jeff has performed in many capacities since 1982.
In his high school years, Jeff traveled the U.S. & Western Europe with a world champion symphonic & marching band, and shortly thereafter become active in many college theater productions and local bands. He would begin to passionately explore different music cultures and performed frequently with traditional South American and African folklore groups in such prestigious locations as the Smithsonian, the Kennedy Center, the Franklin Institute, and festivals along the eastern seaboard.
Says Jeff, "life has truly colored my artistic expression. Someone said, ‘you can’t sing the blues unless you’ve lived them,’ which is true, yet it goes much deeper than that.” When asked to cite his vocal influences, he says there are many, adding that he can’t limit inspiration to singers alone. "Musicians, painters, authors, actors; the contributions of many have meant so much to my development as an artist. I just wish I could personally thank them all.”
Jeff has resided in the Philadelphia area since 1985 and will be permanently relocating with his family to San Antonio, Texas in the summer of 2008.
